Wildmoor Walkies

Your Local Crowthorne Dog Walking Service

Welcome to Wildmoor Walkies - Your Local Dog Walking and Pet Care Service

If you're looking for a caring, trustworthy and reliable dog walker you have come to the right place! Wildmoor Walkies is a small local business owned by best friends Vikki & Michelle and we have been walking local Crowthorne dogs together since 2014.

We are responsible dog walkers and follow the Professional Dogwalkers’ Guidelines published by the Dogs Trust, RSPCA and Pet Industry Federation. We also follow guidance from the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership and Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust when walking in the heathlands and are conscientious pooper scoopers!

There are many reasons why we need help caring for our four legged friends.  Traditionally it was because we were away from home whilst at our place of work. But since the Covid-19 Pandemic, even though more and more of us are working from home, we are still finding we need help with our dogs - typically dogs do not make productive co-workers!

Using Wildmoor Walkies means you can allow yourself more time to concentrate on your work and have uninterrupted ZOOM or TEAMS calls!  We can help provide a consistent routine for your dog while you're working.  The Wildmoor Walkies Gang (as we like to call them!) know when we're coming and are frequently patiently waiting for us at the front door!  Having a routine can help limit disruptive behaviour at home as well as providing stimulation and exercise. You can rest easy knowing your dog is in good hands while you are getting your work done!

The pandemic has also led to an increase in dog ownership, particularly puppies!  When life eventually returns to normal and we return to our places of work (in addition to possibly juggling the school run!) let us help you with lunch time walks providing your new addition to the family with some stimulation and quality time outdoors in the lovely woods surrounding Crowthorne.  Please note Wildmoor Walkies follows guidance from the Kennel Club and and therefore do not include puppies on our one hour group walks until they are one year of age.

Whatever the reason, Wildmoor Walkies is here to help you. For your peace of mind we are fully insured and are DBS checked (criminal records checked) and hold certificates in pet first aid.

Why Choose Wildmoor Walkies?

At Wildmoor Walkies we do things a little differently. The maximum number of dogs we walk is four to minimise the amount of time they spend in the car on their way to and home from our walks. Walking small groups also allows us to put the dogs on lead quickly and efficiently if necessary and be in control at all times. It is also less intimidating to other people with or without their own dogs who may be out walking in the woods in and around Crowthorne.

The majority of the Wildmoor Walkies Gang have been with us for years. We are proud to say we do not have a high turnover of dogs and because of this we know the dogs we walk inside out and back to front! When we introduce new dogs to the Wildmoor Walkies Gang we do so carefully and sensitively so we don’t upset the dynamics of the group walk. You can rest assured we will ensure your dog is put with a group of like-minded dogs who have the same energy levels and sense of fun!

Our Facebook page is updated weekly with photos from our walks and we also text a pupdate if requested. We really do care for your dog's wellbeing and whilst they are with us we love and treat them as our own.  The Wildmoor Walkies Gang are like extended family to us.  Your dog will even receive a birthday present and at Christmas we make a donation to a local dog charity on behalf of the Wildmoor Walkies Gang!

Your First Step

If you are interested in our services, we will arrange a socially distanced meeting to come and see you and your dog. During this meeting we can discuss your requirements and give you the peace of mind and confidence that your dog will be happy with us before you decide to use our services.

Once you have made the decision to go forward, we will ask you to complete our Walking Care Plan which includes questions regarding your dog’s health, behaviour etc. We will then arrange a walk together to see how your dog interacts with the Wildmoor Walkies Gang and you can see if you are happy with the way we conduct ourselves on our walks.

The Next Step

Leave the rest to us! Come rain or shine we will arrive at your door (following our COVID-19 Secure Pick-up Procedure) with a smile ready to look after your furry friend when you can't be there for them yourself.
